Heffernan NY Branch Hires Robert Stumper, Senior VP, Employee Benefits

NEW YORK, Aug. 16, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Heffernan Insurance Brokers, based in Walnut Creek, California and one of the largest full-service, independent insurance brokerage firms in the United States, has hired Robert Stumper to join its Manhattan office as Senior Vice President, Employee Benefits.

Stumper brings almost 30 years experience in employee benefits to Heffernan.  His past responsibilities for national brokerage firms include sales, strategic marketing, client development, technical assistance, plan design and renewal negotiations.  Stumper will be responsible for all aspects of business development for Heffernan as it expands into New York and key Northeast markets.  His emphasis will be on implementing loss control strategies for health plans by employing forensic analytics, wellness initiatives and cost controls.

Stumper is a graduate of Long Island University with a degree in Business Management and a minor in Finance.
