Description:

This is the Heffernan Foundation's second philanthropic walk. Donations from this "active volunteering" opportunity will benefit nonprofits that provide services in the areas of shelter, food, education, and the environment. All participants will receive breakfast and an 'environmentally friendly' travel mug with their registration and are encouraged to bring their own water bottles.

The Heffernan Group believes that giving back, whether through volunteer opportunities or donations, is a way to improve the communities where we live and work for the future.

• Each Heffernan employee is granted four paid days off per year, one day per quarter, to volunteer their time at a local nonprofit.  

• The Heffernan Group averages $1,462 in donations per employee annually.

• Heffernan Group was ranked number 32 out of 60 in the 2011 list of Bay Area "Top Corporate Philanthropists" by the San Francisco Business Times.
