Heffernan Insurance Brokers Announces Dental Appliance Insurance Program

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Heffernan Insurance Brokers, one of the largest full-service, independent insurance brokerage firms in the United States, announced today that it has launched a dental appliance insurance program.

The new, low-cost customized insurance program covers the cost of damage, loss, or theft of removable dental appliances like retainers, partials, dentures, night guards, TMJ splints, and sleep and sport appliances. The program fills the gap left by most dental insurance plans that do not cover replacement of lost or broken dental appliances.

"A custom policy can be procured directly from the point of purchase of a dental appliance from one's smart phone, tablet, or computer. Policies can be purchased with up to 10 retroactive days if the policy is purchased after the dental appliance. All terms are one year and cover an individual appliance. Insurance for the program is provided by Colony Specialty Insurance Company, rated "A" (Excellent) by A.M. Best.
