Heffernan Insurance Brokers Interns Selected as The Council Foundation Scholarship Recipients

WALNUT CREEK, Calif., Sept. 18, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Jacqueline Roges (University of Southern California) and Gretchen Tuscher (UC Davis), summer interns at Heffernan Insurance Brokers have been selected as a recipients of $5,000 scholarships for the 2018-19 year academic year, as announced today by The Council Foundation.

"Heffernan's 2018 class of summer interns proved to be one of the most impressive collection of college students since the inception of our intern program," said Cassi Casteel, Human Resources Manager. The Council Foundation's mission is to bring fresh, diverse talent into the brokerage sector by way of internships with member firms of The Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers. In awarding the scholarships, an independent selection committee looks for candidates who have the potential to excel as leaders and contributors in the commercial insurance brokerage business sector.

The Council Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable educational organization instituted by the Washington, D.C.-based Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers. The interns are among 75 college students across the country who received Council Foundation scholarships this year.
